M. Felizardo is a researcher at IST and his research focused on radiological protection and dosimetry, dark matter, advanced instrumentation and astrophysics, materials science and medical physics. Now the focus is on understanding the impact of air quality on sleep quality considering an integrated human exposure approach. He graduated in Physics Engineering in 1999, did his Masters in Electronic and Computer Engineering in 2008 and completed his PhD degree in Physics Engineering. Astrophysics at the New University of Lisbon (Portugal) in 2013. He is an Invited Assistant Researcher at the IST, University of Lisbon and is the Supervisor of the Portuguese Research Reactor at the Technological and Nuclear Campus. M. Felizardo is responsible for the Accounting and Control System of all Nuclear Materials of CTN-IST in particular Reactor and Waste Pavilion. He published over 60+ manuscripts in national and international scientific journals and participated in more than 20 national and international research projects focused on radiological protection and dosimetry, dark matter and materials science. He has one patent under review, 3 book chapters, received three awards, is an article reviewer in some specialized journals and has presented the results of his work on over 60 occasions (talks and posters).
