Martim Vicente Alves Nabais has been on the doctoral programme in Civil Engineering since September 2023, as a scholarship holder on the R2UTechnologies project, funded by the PRR. Graduation (2019), MSc (2023), PhD (on going) in Civil Engineering at IST. Between March 2022 and June 2023 took part of the ‘Eco-efficient recycled cement compressed earth blocks’ project Eco+RCEB – PTDC/ECICON/0704/2021, supervised by Professor José Alexandre Bogas (IST), where has developed his master thesis entitled ‘Mechanical characterisation of compressed earth blocks with the incorporation of recycled aggregate and cement’. At the same time as writing his dissertation, was also able to take part in the development and production of an article submitted for review to an international journal entitled ‘Thermal performance of compressed earth blocks stabilised with thermoactivated recycled cement’ and two articles submitted to the Construção 2024 Congress entitled ‘Thermal performance of compressed earth blocks stabilised with thermoactivated recycled cement’ and ‘Mechanical characterisation and shrinkage of compressed earth blocks stabilised with binders recovered from the cement fraction of concrete waste’.
