José Dinis Silvestre is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Universidade de Lisboa, and member of the research unit IST-CERIS. He is a Civil Engineer (2002), with MSc in Construction (2005) and Rehabilitation of Buildings, and PhD in Civil Engineering in the area of Life Cycle Assessment (2012), all at IST. He is Co-Founder and Partner at AECycle, a Técnico Lisbon spin-off, and is the author or co-author of 100+ ISI journal papers, 3 books, 60+ reports and 65+ conference papers. Coordinated 2 research projects with foreign partners, and participates in 1 international research project (having participated in other 2 as subcontracted consultant and in 1 Erasmus+ project) related to sustainability and energy efficiency of building materials and construction solutions.
