Inês Flores-Colen is a Full Professor in the Construction Scientific Area, Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and a researcher at CERIS. She holds a degree (1996), MSc (2002), and PhD (2009) in Civil Engineering. She has published extensively in construction and civil engineering, including 3 books, 8 book chapters, over 100 international journal papers, 60 reports, and 35 international conference papers. Her supervision record covers 4 post-doc researchers (2 completed), 12 PhD students (5 completed), and 102 MSc students.
She was Editor of International Techitt (2014-2017), serves on the Editorial Board of three international journals, and has been Director of Pedra e Cal magazine since 2021. Inês is the referee for 25 journals, has participated in 15 research projects, including two as Principal Investigator and four international projects, and is a member of CIB W70 and W86. Her research interests include innovative and sustainable construction, building pathology, thermal rehabilitation, and facility management. She created the PERCOAT research group in 2020. Her h-index on Scopus is 27, and she holds a national patent on aerogel-based thermal render. Inês is active in European and national standardization committees in her field.
