Hugo Sérgio Sousa Costa completed his PhD in Civil Engineering (Pre-Bologna) on March 11, 2013, at the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Science and Technology. He earned his MSc in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structures in February 2008 from the same institution and previously completed his BSc in Civil Engineering in July 2002 and an earlier Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering in 2000 at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, Coimbra Institute of Engineering. Currently, he serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Coimbra Institute of Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, and is also an eligible member and researcher at the University of Lisbon’s Institute for Research and Innovation in Civil Engineering for Sustainability. He has been awarded three Individual Merit Awards and three Collective Innovation Awards.
