On November 4-5, 2023, the PRR Agendas took the spotlight at the Técnico Innovation Summit held at Técnico Innovation Center in Lisbon. This event, dedicated to transformative projects in technology and innovation, provided R2U Technologies Agenda a prime opportunity to present its vision for a knowledge-based, sustainable approach to modular construction with the Prefabricated Concrete Modular Buildings subproject. The presence of Portugal’s Prime Minister, along with the Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, and the Minister of Economy, highlighted the strategic relevance PRR Agendas for Portugal’s future.

The Research fellows from Instituto Superior Técnico engaged with attendees at the R2U Agenda stand, discussing the thirteen activities within the Prefabricated Concrete Modular Buildings subproject, each aimed at future-proofing modular construction through enhanced sustainability and design flexibility.

The summit underscored project’s potential to reshape construction in Portugal, supported by academia, industry, and government. Through projects like Prefabricated Concrete Modular Buildings’s in the R2U Technologies Agenda, Portugal is paving the way for a sustainable and innovative construction sector with global relevance.
