Maria da Glória Gomes is an Associate Professor at Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST), Universidade de Lisboa (UL), Portugal, where she has been a member of academic staff since 2000. She holds a BSc (1999, 5 years), MSc (2003) and PhD (2010) in Civil Engineering from IST-UL. She performs work in the field of Building Physics, focused on the indoor environment, energy efficiency and rehabilitation of buildings. Research has centred on the implementation of more sustainable and energy efficient materials and solutions, and has a strong experimental background complemented with numerical simulations. She is a member of National and European Committees for Standardization CT 151 – Building Thermal Performance and CEN/TC 129 Glass in Buildings/ WG18 -Filmed glass, IBPSA (International Building Performance Simulation Association)-Portugal and is a qualified and accredited expert of the Portuguese Energy Agency (ADENE) for the energy performance certification of residential buildings. In total, she has published more than 80 journal papers (70 WoS/Scopus; h-index 25), 100 conference papers, 1 book and 3 book editions and 7 book chapters. She is a member of the editorial board of 2 WoS/Scopus international journals, serving as guest editor in 4 special issues. She has participated in 24 research projects (7 international and 17 national) and has supervised 4 PhD and 54 MSc students to completion and 1 Postdoc and 1 PhD exchange students, and is currently supervising 6 PhD students.
