On September 4, a technical visit to Vigobloco took place with a team from Técnico composed by members involved in various project activities, specifically Architecture, Digitalization, Thermal Behavior, Seismic Performance, and Connections.

Led by Engineer Romain Sousa, Coordinator of Project Activity 2, and Architect Filipe Saraiva, CEO of the company, the visit provided an in-depth look at the full production chain at Vigobloco’s industrial complex, which spans over 80,000 m². The team observed the entire manufacturing process of the modular concrete elements that will undergo testing in the Project’s experimental campaign at the IST laboratory.

At the conclusion of the visit, a technical meeting was held to discuss key aspects of the studies and tasks to be developed for the project, with a particular focus on architecture, structural connections, and thermal performance, as well as their implications for the design of the prefabricated elements under study.
