The R2UTechnologies | Modular Systems project held a comprehensive team meeting at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), gathering research fellows, activity coordinators, principal investigators, and the industrial partner Vigobloco.
The session served as a key opportunity to review progress across the different research and development activities, align methodologies, and consolidate collaboration between academia and industry in the field of prefabricated concrete modular building systems.
During the meeting, participants shared updates on experimental testing, digital modeling, sustainability assessment, and design studies. Vigobloco presented developments on production and assembly processes, while the academic teams discussed progress in integrating structural and digital workflows.

A major outcome of the meeting was the definition of the key activities for the final months of the project, including the timeline of deliverables and upcoming milestones across all work packages. This planning will ensure an efficient and coordinated closure of the project’s research, demonstration, and dissemination phases.
