Francisco Teixeira Bastos is an architect since 1986 and an assistant professor at IST- University of Lisbon, since 2000, teaching Design Studio I and BIM for Architecture.
Architect of Atelier dos Remédios, with public and private works of renovation, modernization and new, built and published, having obtained the VALMOR PRIZE 2011 with RAINHA D. LEONOR SECONDARY SCHOOL and the Good Practices of OECD School Buildings 2013.
As researcher, has coordinated the PRACTICE BASED Research investigation line at CiTUA since 2000, being part of the investigation teams of the BoSS – Bauhaus of Seas Sails and R2UTechnologies – Modular Systems|GRANT PRR Projects. Currently coordinates the proposal for Erasmus Mundus RMB- Reuse of Modern Buildings course. The fields of Design process, Design protocols and BIM are the most relevant for his research. As a practitioner, teacher and researcher, creates ground for crossing experimentations.
